Around 50 minutes drive from Hamilton city and just 8kms from Raglan township. You will find us located in Whale Bay, on a 110 acres of native New Zealand bush. Karioi Lodge caters for travellers, backpackers, families and large groups seeking off-beat NZ accommodation. We also provide a magical Raglan venue for weddings, corporate events and other special occasions.

The lodge is also home of the Raglan Surfing School where surf lessons and surf rentals take place daily. For the keen learner surfer try one of our surf packages which saves you money and gives you more time to work on your surfing skills and enjoying Raglan.

No transportation? No problem! Free pick ups and drops offs from Raglan township or you can join one of our daily shuttles to town/beach during your stay to explore Raglan attractions and sightseeing – funky cafes, live music, scenic walkways, festivals, markets, golf, fish ‘n’ chips, arts and crafts and so much more.
