The Karioi Lodge is ideally

We now have the Wahinemoe luxury house boat which is licensed
for 70 passengers operating in the beautiful, tranquil Raglan
harbour - the Wahinemoe can also sleep up to 10 people and

KITCHENS & CATERING...The
Karioi Lodge amenities include two fully equipped kitchens
one of which is purpose built for large groups. There is
also the option for onsite catering. We can recommend fabulous
local Raglan caterers on request.
LUXURY & BUDGET
LODGINGS... The Karioi Lodge sleeps up to 75 people
in the main lodge plus those that the campervan sites accommodate.
At the lodge there are 4 separate blocks of accommodation
each with 5 rooms. 3 blocks are set up dorm style with 4
bunks per room. The other block of 5 rooms are double/private
rooms. Groups can be placed in seperate blocks or blocks
close together to suit. All bedding linen & pillows
are supplied. Towels can also be supplied. We can also sleep
an additional 30 people in our luxury lodges which are all
within 1-5 minutes walking distance of Karioi Lodge &
each other in Whale Bay. These 6 lodges are self-contained
- most with stunning sea views & all the comforts of
home & more! Spas, SKY TV with all the channels, DVD
library, quality bed linens & a great range of kitchen

ACTIVITIES... Groups can enjoy a large adventure
playground at the Karioi Lodge with ropes course, mountain
bikes, bush walks, spectacular look outs, permaculture gardens,
glowworms & sauna. Plus its just a short walk to Raglan's
famous surfing breaks. Broadband Internet and wireless connection,
SKY TV with all the channels including sports and movies,
42" plasma screen TV, DVD & video library, pool table,
dart board, air soccer, basketball & table tennis are
available for guests to use. Poker nights, yoga & on-site
beauty and massage therapy can be arranged.
CONFERENCE & MEETING
VENUE... Over the years the Karioi Lodge has hosted
many corporate meetings & conferences. There are several
options in terms of meeting venues.. one of the most unique
& popular is in the rustic barn which is private &
tranquil & set amongst the native bush just up from the
main lodge. The main hall at the lodge can also work well
for groups. For smaller groups we usually set up one of the
luxury lodges as a meeting area for privacy & stunning
views. Whatever is needed we'll work with you to meet your
equipment, entertainment & catering requirements.

TRAMPING, SURFING
& TEAMBUILDING... With direct access to Mount
Karioi tramps & as the home of the Raglan Surf School
the Karioi Lodge often host groups that are wanting a fun
day or weekend learning to surf or tramping the mountain.
For the surfing lessons we provide all instruction, equipment
& whatever else is needed such as volleyball & lunch
at the beach. Surf Equipment Hire is available for groups
who don't need a lesson & supervision. Transport is available
for pick ups & drop offs to other local tracks. Enjoy
the evening sauna back at base after a day of adventuring!
RAGLAN ACTIVITIES:
There are lots of exciting things to do in Raglan
for groups and if you're a guest of Karioi Lodge we can help
to arrange an itinerary for you free of charge. Try your hand
at sunset kayaking, harbour cruising to see the limestone
formations, horse trekking to Bridal Veil Falls or along a
remote West Coast beach. For the group that needs pampering
rather than adrenalin, there's on-site massage & beauty
therapy.

SCHOOL GROUPS...
The Karioi Lodge was initially built in 1973 as a school camp
by the Huntly Karioi Trust. Years later & it still retains
the essential characteristics that make an ideal school group
venue. There are ample opportunities for fun & adventure
& outdoor activities for kids here! The flying fox, ropes
course, daily beginner surf lessons, sports barn, bush walks,
and wildlife viewing make outdoor entertainment a breeze for
school groups. Choose from full catering options or self-catering
in two fully equipped kitchens. Students can even learn to
make meals with our head chef. OSH risk management plans are
available on request.
BOOKING INFORMATION:
Advanced bookings are a must. Group bookings in the peak summer
season may be limited. For a confirmed booking we do require
a 20% non-refundable deposit. We do accept cheques or credit
cards or direct bank payments. We extend an invitation to
