Directions

From the main street of Raglan township (Bow Street), turn left onto Wainui Rd. Drive 8km to Whale Bay. You come to a roundabout, turn left on to Whaanga Rd. The entrance to the Karioi Lodge and Raglan Surfing School is the second drive on the left, number 5b (there is a black round sign indicating Raglan Surf School and the Karioi Outdoor Centre). The office is at the top. You can drive to the carpark half way and then walk the remaining distance to the office.

If you’re running late or you are also staying with us at the Karioi Lodge you may prefer to drive directly to the office for check-in. After this you must park in the main car park and walk back to the office for the start of the lesson.

Please note – check in is 15 minutes prior to the surf lesson start time. If you have time please park in the main car park and walk the remaining 600m along to the office. This saves parking congestion at the office which is often busy with work vehicles.
