DIRECTIONS...
From the mainstreet of Raglan township (Bow Street), turn
left onto Wainui Rd. Drive 8km to Whale Bay. You come to a
roundabout, turn left on to Whaanga Rd. The entrance to the
Karioi Lodge & Outdoor Centre is the second drive on the
left, number 5b (there is a black round sign indicating Raglan
Surf School & the Karioi Outdoor Centre). The Karioi Lodge
is at the very top of this drive, go through a gate then through
the bush (about 600m)
If you have lots of luggage
please drive directly to the office to unload & check
in. When finished checking in please park your car back in
the main car park at the gate as soon as you can.

BOOKING
CONFIRMATION... We
require a 50% deposit to confirm all Karioi Lodge bookings.
For groups & schools the amount is 20%. Deposits are payable
either by credit card (visa & mastercard), direct credit
into our bank account (pleae enquire for details) & in
approved cases by cheque in the mail. Once a deposit is received
we will notify you that your booking is confirmed.
BOOKING
PAYMENT... Paying
a deposit before your arrival confirms your booking. On arrival
please check in at the office and pay the balance of your
account. We have credit card facilities.
CANCELLATION
POLICY... All
deposits are non-refundable.
GROUP
BOOKINGS... For a confirmed group booking we require
a 20% non-refundable deposit. We accept cheques or credit
cards or direct bank payments. We extend an invitation to
you to visit the Karioi Lodge and Outdoor Adventure Centre
to discuss the proposed outing & requirements further
or by contacting the office manager at (07) 825-7873
SURF
LESSON BOOKINGS... No deposit is needed to book a
surf lesson at the Karioi Lodge. However you must provide
us with your contact details. Full payment can be made on
arrival. Check-in for surfing lessons are 15 minutes prior
to the start of the lesson - here you've got to sign in &
complete the surfing lesson waiver.

CHECK
IN & CHECK OUT TIMES... Check
in is at 1pm, although often the rooms are ready for you much
earlier. If you desire an earlier check-in please keep in
touch with our office. Check out is at 10am. Extending your
check out time can be pre-arranged with the office. Late check-outs
may incur an extra nights charge so please be on time.
HOUSE
RULES... On
Parties & Noise- we are known to enjoy a party
or two but its not for everybody all of the time! All loud
noise, music, yelling etc, must stop by 10pm. There is a designated
party area away from the main lodge where guests can party
to the wee hours if desired, leaving other guests to sleep
peacefully. On Smoking - smoking is permitted
outside only - definitely no smoking in the rooms please.
On People Visiting our Guests- we're happy
for you to have people to visit however all guests must depart
by 10pm unless otherwise arranged with the office or nightshift
manager. On
Parking - guests must park in the main carpark which
is 200m from the main lodge. On Respect - Please
respect others & the environment & lodgings in which
you are a guest. Please recycle, don't litter & always
leave an area how you found it. This also means doing your
own dishes sorry. On Sleeping Bags & other blankets-
Sorry we don't allow people to bring their own bedding due
to the need for pest control.

PET
POLICY... Pets
are welcome at Karioi Lodge if they are social animals, do
not sleep in the rooms and are controlled at all times. Please
register your pet with us on booking.
SECURITY...
All private rooms have lockable doors and we operate a key
deposit system of $20. If you have booked a share room with
friends & family key deposits can also be arranged. In
all other cases (e.g.you're sharing a room with other independent
travellers) you will have access to a lockable drawer in your
room which you have key access to during your stay.
FREE
PICKUPS/DROP OFFS... Karioi Lodge is 8kms out of
Raglan township in Whale Bay - out at the beach! Let us know
when you'll be in town or just give us a call when you arrive
and we will come and get you from Raglan Township. Likewise
free drop offs back to town on your departure. During your
stay we have daily trips to town for those who want to explore,
shop, drink coffee & eat someone elses cooking including
legendary fresh fish & chips!
BUS
TRANSPORT TO RAGLAN... From
Auckland airport there are two shuttle
services in Raglan that can pick you up from the airport and
bring you here to the camp. The contact details are dom@raglanshuttle.co.nz

the Raglan Airport Shuttle.
